I have registration set to open in the future. When anyone comes across the registration page, the radio buttons for selecting Registration Type and the Register button are grayed out. This seems fine. However, if a non-logged-in user comes across the page, they see this:
User Account
You are not currently logged in. In order to register for this conference, you will need an account. If you already have one, click here to log in; otherwise, fill in the information below in order to create a new account.
Followed by a rather long form with all of the fields disabled. If possible, I think it might be better if the form wasn't there at all? I know that some users will keep trying to click for some time and some will contact the conference director and say that there was a problem with the registration form. Also, perhaps there could be a custom message like:
You are not currently logged in. In order to register for this conference (beginning {$openingDate}), you will need an account. If you do not already have an account, then you may click here to sign up and then come back to complete your conference registration after {$openingDate}.
