Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OCS Development subforum.

i have created user accounts (authors), and while creating them, have clicked the "Send the user a welcome email containing their username and password." However, when I view the email that is generated, there is no password listed - only their username.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Paul

Do you mean that the email is received but the password is blank, e.g.:

The email sent is this::

Thank you for your submission, "Partners for Interprofessional Cancer
Education (PICE): Cultivating Communities of Practice for Collaborative
Care" to Our Conference. With the online conference
management system that we are using, you will be able to track its
progress through the editorial process by logging in to the conference web site:

Submission URL:
http://www.biomed.......(edit)
Username: author... (edit)

If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you for considering
this conference as a venue for your work.

---------------

I do not see the password within the auto emails. (I added the 'edit')

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

This email is a submission confirmation, not a new user notification. I suspect the email you're quoting is unrelated. Did you receive another message?
