Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OCS Development subforum.

DB ERROR

Postby ppound » Thu Nov 15, 2007 6:39 am

We get this error DB Error: Unknown column 'aa.last_name' in 'where clause' when we go in as a track director and change the drop down to search for authors and then do a search.

Anyone else experience this.

If we search for title etc its ok.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

See http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2951 for the bugzilla entry, including a patch to correct.

Thanks Alec.

I did a search in bugzilla but didn't find anything. Obviously I didn't look hard enough.

I will try the patch.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

No problem -- often, the best way to check where a particular bug has been resolved is via the CVSWeb interface. If you can guess what file of source code needs to be corrected, check its commit log. In this case, for example, see http://pkp.sfu.ca/cvs/cvsweb.cgi/ocs2/classes/submission/trackDirector/TrackDirectorSubmissionDAO.inc.php; the fix was committed for revision 1.13. There is a link from there back to the Bugzilla entry, which is bug #2951 at http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2951.

I think that this file also needs to be fixed:

classes/submission/director/DirectorSubmissionDAO.inc.php
