DB Error when director makes his decision

Hi,

I have discovered another error. When a Track Director makes his/her decision on a submitted conference paper by clicking on one of the options in the drop-down menu (Accept Submission, Revisions Required, Decline Submission), I get the following error:

DB Error: Field 'type' doesn't have a default value

How can I fix this error? There is no info about the location of the field...

Hi Jason,

This field isn't used -- remove it by running the following in MySQL:

Code: Select all

ALTER TABLE edit_decisions DROP COLUMN type;

Hi Alec,

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. Your suggestion has solved the problem regarding the drop-down menu. Now, there is another related problem with email attachments. If Track Director tries to attach a file to his/her email to notify author about the decision, I get exactly the same error:

DB Error: Field 'type' doesn't have a default value

If it helps, the error appears on the page .../trackDirector/emailDirectorDecisionComment/send in the browser. I think, there is another 'type' field somewhere. Could you please tell me where it is.

Hi Jason,

This one appears in the temporary_files directory; use:

Code: Select all

ALTER TABLE temporary_files DROP COLUMN type;
