What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:
1. Search the forum

to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.

In looking through the OCS Conferences linked from the PKP homepage, one can't help but notice how different they look from the "out of the box, ocs in an hour" setup. I've had a look through the Themes, and added one that I like more, but there is obviously more to it than that. How do sites like http://www2.ru.ac.za/ocs/index.php?cf=1
get such a different look? How can I, to give an example, add a "Travel and Accommodation" link to the navigation bar? \

Those are OCS 1.x installations, which use an entirely different codebase than OCS 2.x. It should be possible to come up with a look-alike theme, particularly once the next release is available, which will make the column formats much more flexible.
