Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:1.
Search the forum. You can do this from the
Advanced Search Page or from our
Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we
especially recommend searching the forum for said error.
2.
Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.
3.
Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the
OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the
OCS Development subforum.

hi
we have installed the OCS on our server and everything is fine thus far. i have a question regarding the customization of our site.
we really only need three sets of pages.
1..... a login page. we would like this to be the first page users see.
2...... once logged in, the next page we would like users to see is a listing of all tracks and the abstracts/presentations under each track.
3...... when users click on a author/abstract/presentation/etc, they are directed to the detailed abstract and presentation, where users can post comments.
that's all we need. .(we already have a conference web site and registered users. the OCS will simply be a link from that pre-existing site.)
is there a way to set up the site this way so just to have those three levels of pages?
thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,
You'll need to comment out quite a number of links in the OJS template files, primarily in the sidebar and header templates:
- templates/common/sidebar.tpl
- templates/common/header.tpl
OTOH, that should be all that's necessary.
