Hi,
I tried adding a new field "Payment details" in registration form, in line with the "Special requests" item. i created variable names paymentDetails, similar to specialRequests. The files i tried are:
1.templates/registration/userRegistrationForm.tpl,
2.classes/Registration/Registration.inc.php
3.classes/registration/forms/UserRegistrationForm.inc.php
4.classes/registration/form/RegistrationForm.inc.php
5.classes/registration/registrationDAO.inc.php
But when tried, some DB error came, which said SQL syntax is wrong. Am I becoming too much adventurous? I have taken back up of all files and has rolled back. But, would like to know any decent method available? I donot know MySQL or php.

Hi Dinesh,
The error is almost certainly a mistake in the changes to the RegistrationDAO. Double-check your modifications there and also ensure that the new field has been added to your database, not just the OJS code. Some knowledge of SQL is necessary for this kind of change -- but it should be a fairly quick change if you can get help from somebody on hand.
