I got the latest version via CVS and set it up on my domain without too much of a hassle.
But then...I set up a conference, and a scheduled conference, but then...how do you submit anything for the conference? And why would a created conference not appear under scheduled conferences? Then again, I never found an option to specify conference dates...
I tried looking at submitting from both a superuser and registered user perspective, and it seems to direct you to login, but then...nothing on the logged in page concerning submission or anything.
Ideas?

Hi Charlene,
It sounds like you haven't found the Timeline form. Enroll yourself as a Director (using the Conference Management tools), go to User Home, and follow the Director link. There you'll find a Timeline link to configure dates when submissions are accepted etc.
Once the initial release of OCS 2.0 is complete, we'll be working hard to fine-tune some of the spots in the user interface where we find people are getting lost (particularly roles like Authors and Reviewers who don't necessarily have a lot of familiarity with the system).

Final question - in the past, I have set up a registration system that links to paypal for credit card purchasing. I believe I read here somewhere that you all are not as focused on that component, as there are a variety of complex systems for credit card payments. Is there going to be a way to hook in or include plugins for such as system? Paypal's execution in essence is a special submit button with the destination account's email address, brief item description, and amount to be charged.

Hi Charlene,
We will indeed ship OCS 2.0 with Paypal support -- that particular aspect is the last feature that needs to be completed before we're ready to test and release. Additional payment methods will be possible via plugins.
