Hi,
As part of a Dutch academic publishing project (see
EJME - Enhanced Journals Made Easy), I made a plugin to publish a Resource Map with each article. Resource Maps are contributions to the global
Linked Data Network. The article ReM currently lists the published article galleys, the authors, and the supplementary files. (This is the file 'rem.tar.gz')
To become part of the "cloud" ReMs should be harvestable. We use the OAI-PMH protocol for this, and added a new OAI Metadata Format, 'oai_ore' to the OaiMetadataFormats plugins. (This is the file 'enhpub.tar.gz')
To be useful, both plugins must be installed.
After installing, each article will have a (dynamically generated) ResourceMap which can be viewed from the Reading Tools > Indexing Metadata popup window. Since this template has no hook, I put the link into a copy of templates/rt/metadata.tpl. This link is just for human inspection.
The OAI Metadata Format plugin adds the "oai_ore" format to the OJS OAI-provider. E.g. you can now try
http://[ojs]/index.php/[journal]/oai?verb=ListRecords&metadataPrefix=oai_ore
to get a OAI-PMH stream of ReMs.
I developed and tested this plugin on a OJS 2.3.5 unix & local windows platform
Any comments welcome!
