OJS Plugin: VG Wort

The VG Wort plugin enables integration and management of the VG Wort pixel tags in OJS. Here you can order new pixel tags, assign the pixel tags to the articles, register them and view the VG Wort statistics.

I got this plugin to work well on one of my more recent sites with PHP 5 > but I've got an older site I don't want to update the PHP version for, do you think it would still work or could it mess something up?

Sorry for the late answer! -- somehow I haven't get any notification -- I probably forgot to subscribe for the topic...

The plug-in requires the PHP 5 >= 5.0.1 because it uses the functions available only from this version (e.g. SOAP). Thus, the plug-in won't work well with an older PHP version -- It won't be able to use the VG Wort SOAP web services (e.g. order new pixel, register, statistics).

Hello,

Here is a patch for the following bug/problem: When a text is registered at VG Wort, an e-mail was sent to the article submitter and also to all authors (in CC). Now the e-mail is sent just to the authors the VG Wort card number exists for and thus take part in the payout of royalties.

To apply the patch please copy the file vgWort-1.0_patch1.diff into your OJS/plugins/generic/vgWort/ directory and from there call:
patch -p1 < vgWort-1.0_patch1.diff
