Link in Notification for Announcement

Postby jpowell » Wed Jun 18, 2014 1:27 pm

Hi. We just noticed that the first link in Notification about an announcement (as below) leads to a 404
---
You have a new notification from :

##notification.type.newAnnouncement##

Link: http://136.159.200.88/omp/index.php/uof ... ss/index/2
---
Also is it really necessary for notifications to go out even when an announcement is just edited?

Thanks,
Judy

Hi Judy,

See bug #8811 -- watch for the entry to change status to "closed", and when it does, there should be a complete patch posted for your installation.

Hi Carola,

Find the lines in controllers/grid/announcements/form/AnnouncementForm.inc.php calling $notificationManager->sendToMailingList:
Code: Select all
                $notificationManager->sendToMailingList($request,
                        $notificationManager->createNotification(
                                $request, UNSUBSCRIBED_USER_NOTIFICATION, NOTIFICATION_TYPE_NEW_ANNOUNCEMENT,
                                $pressId, ASSOC_TYPE_ANNOUNCEMENT, $announcement->getId()
                        )
                );
Comment out these lines.
