Secure press

Postby Garant » Mon Apr 07, 2014 5:15 am

I'm having specific question.
Does OMP have a support of some press secure organization?
For example some platforms has possibility to provide a "locked" press for readers - they could only read the press but no download or copying is allowed.
One of variant which I saw - was a custom built in system document reader which doesn't allow to copy or download the text.
Does OMP have something similar?
Thank you!

Hi Garant,

No, that functionality doesn't exist in OMP. However, OMP uses a flexible plugin system for managing the functionality of galleys and how content is displayed. If you felt like creating some sort of secure reader, perhaps with a javascript library you knew of, we'd be interested in the contribution.
