Dear all,
I was curious if there is any way to group or classify submissions, meaning to assign a certain variable to a submission which could then be used to search them. For example, in our journal, for each submission all co-authors in our journal need to send (in regular mail) a signed copy of what we call Authorship statement form. When it arrives we would like to somehow make a note that we have obtained it, and we would also like to be able to check which submissions have not sent it. Then we also have some papers that have to go through the whole publishing procedure much faster and we would also like to have a way to mark these submissions and search them.
It seem that having a possibility to assign tags to submission might solve these issues. Is there any way to do it?

The search parameters for submissions are Title, Author, Editor, Reviewer, Copyeditor, Layout Editor, Proofreader or within a date range for when a submission was submitted, copyedited, layout edited, or proofread. There's no feature for "tagging" articles. Also, OJS is designed to have the author agreement digitally signed during the submission process, so I doubt whether an enhancement request to accommodate this would be of interest to the OJS developers, though you're certainly welcome to submit such a request.
