Forum rules
This forum is meant for general questions about the usability of OJS from an everyday user's perspective: journal managers, authors, and editors are welcome to post questions here, as are librarians and other support staff. We welcome general questions about the role of OJS and how the workflow works, as well as specific function- or user-related questions.

What to do if you have general, workflow or usability questions about OJS:

1. Read the documentation. We've written documentation to cover from OJS basics to system administration and code development, and we encourage you to read it.

2. take a look at the tutorials. We will continue to add tutorials covering OJS basics as time goes on.

3. Post a question. Questions are always welcome here, but if it's a technical question you should probably post to the OJS Technical Support subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Hi!
Haven't found how to make that system automatically send email to site administrator once a new user has been registered in system.
Please, tell me how to make it.
Thank you!

Hi,

OJS does not have the functionality to notify the administrator via alert when a new user is registered. However, you do have the option of not allowing users to self register. If you select that option in Step 4 of the Setup in the Journal Management pages, then all users would need to contact you to gain accounts, which means that you would know every time a user account was created.

All best,

Hi,

Is it possible to add CC email field to user registration notification email,
So that a copy of the new registered user will automatically send to journal manager.

Kindly explain it.

Regards

There is currently not an option to alter the recipient e-mail addresses in the prepared e-mails section in the journal management pages in the user interface. You would have to alter the base code to accomplish this. The name of this e-mail in the prepared e-mails section is User Register. The body of the e-mail can be edited as well as the subject line, but the recipients cannot be altered.

All best,
