Once a manuscript has been submitted, is there a way to restrict the author from viewing who the assigned section editor/editor is?

We have the same question. Did you figure out a way to do this? It's a huge issue that the author can see who the editor is.

I have the same issue, and additionally I would like to know if it possible to restrict users's rights to view all the files (editor's, reviewer's). It is very confusing, and sometimes it is much better for reviewer to be able to write on his files without fearing that the author will see the comments.

Hi Andrea,
Reviewers are never allowed to read comments or file uploads except with the permission of the Editor. Reviewers can upload their comments and files without fear of the Author accidentally seeing them, as long as the Editor is mediating the communication properly.

I am sorry Alec, but I think this is not the right answer to this topic.
To hide editor from authors is also very much important for our journal as well...

Hi Hrvoje (or Andrea),
Can you describe your workflow? I'm not familiar with cases where the Author needs to be kept ignorant of the identity of the Editor.
