We are in the process of setting up a multi-journal OJS installation. Currently, many of our article submissions are undesignated for a particular jounal - that is, they are possible candidates for more than one of the journals we publish. We thought about creating a dummy journal in OJS designated as "submissions only", but can see no obvious way to subsequently assign these submissions to one of our "real" journal for reviewing/editing. Does anyone have any suggestions for accomplishing journal reassignment after initial submission?
TIA,
Steve

Hi Steve,
You should be able to do this by reassigning the submission's journal in the database--E.g., make the submission to the dummy journal, then change the journal_id column for the submission in question in the articles table to whatever journal id you'd like it to be in. There's currently no built-in way to do this in OJS.
Cheers,
Matt
