How to remove articles permanently

Hi!

I've done some tests to explain to participants (reviewers, editors, etc) the process and the operation of OJS but now I want to remove permanently the papers I've uploaded.

How can delete them?

Hi Nuria, to delete permanently the papers that you uploaded, you can (as an editor) archive it (in the submission summary view) and then delete the submission from the archives.

I suppose that your archives are at something like:
htttp://nameofyoursite.xxx/editor/submi ... nsArchives
at this URL, I have, on the right of the screen, a link named "DELETE", linking to somethign like
htttp://nameofyoursite.xxx/editor/deleteSubmission/21
so you should delete your test submissions.

I´m having trouble sending the articles to the archive ... as a way to delete test articles
I´m running ojs 2.2.4 but cannot find any option to send an article to the archive.
I´ve articles in "review" and "editing" but none of them can be archived.

in previous post it was said: "Go to the submission's Summary page and find the "Archive Submission" link."
... i do not see any Archive Submission link ...

Hello Jaime,

Please check the submission initial page, named Summary (in English!).
It will have a URL such as http://url.to.your.journal.com/index.ph ... bmissionID
Between the Editor's list and the submission's Metadata there's a "Status" block, with a link to send the article to the archive.
It's a bit cumbersome, in my opinion, but it's a design decision.

I got confused with the translation "envío de archivo" in the spanish version ...
now it´s ok .. i removed the example articles ...

Hello Jaime,

This is an issue translators, us included, face when doing our work.
We don't usually see where the translation really goes, and sometimes don't have enough time to test, while many words have different meanings depending on the context.
Please use the Translator plugin to fix your translation, and I would advise providing the correct string to PKP to update the language files.
Inform the translation key and the value, so they can fix it in the next version.
It's not so easy, but you can export the XML files and use the keys to search in the Web interface.
A bit cumbersome, but it's not easy to develop a multilingual system.
