Forum rules
This forum is meant for general questions about the usability of OJS from an everyday user's perspective: journal managers, authors, and editors are welcome to post questions here, as are librarians and other support staff. We welcome general questions about the role of OJS and how the workflow works, as well as specific function- or user-related questions.

What to do if you have general, workflow or usability questions about OJS:

1. Read the documentation. We've written documentation to cover from OJS basics to system administration and code development, and we encourage you to read it.

2. take a look at the tutorials. We will continue to add tutorials covering OJS basics as time goes on.

3. Post a question. Questions are always welcome here, but if it's a technical question you should probably post to the OJS Technical Support subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Hello everyone,

I am a cofounder of an International Society of Communication and Hearing Science (Audiologist by profession). We are very keen to use the OSJ 2.0 version to launch our journal next year and wondering if somecan help me in direction how I can get started with uploading the OSJ 2.0. I did try uploading the OSJ 2.0 thru file manager but could not realy extract the files.

We have Fantastico on our website where we have set php scripts like durpal, php forum, php surveys and they work all fine. I am wondering if I need to load the OSJ 2.) thru fantastico but now sure how to do. Any help and advise will be very useful and much appreciated.

Thank you
Sharad Govil

I don't know if it will help, but I am working on a site (in development) hosted with Dreamhost. The installation went smoothly, taking around 15 minutes. From what you said in the original post it sounds like you do not have shell access, which you might need in order to extract the files and change the directory permissions. Cheers,
