Forum rules
This forum is meant for general questions about the usability of OJS from an everyday user's perspective: journal managers, authors, and editors are welcome to post questions here, as are librarians and other support staff. We welcome general questions about the role of OJS and how the workflow works, as well as specific function- or user-related questions.

What to do if you have general, workflow or usability questions about OJS:

1. Read the documentation. We've written documentation to cover from OJS basics to system administration and code development, and we encourage you to read it.

2. take a look at the tutorials. We will continue to add tutorials covering OJS basics as time goes on.

3. Post a question. Questions are always welcome here, but if it's a technical question you should probably post to the OJS Technical Support subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Big installation problem

I'm trying to install OJS on a server that is running IIS. I believe all of the permissions are set correctly at this point, but there's a slim chance they are not. Anywho, here's what happens.

I go to the OJS directory to begin the install process, which in my case is .../test03/ojs/ However, the page immediately redirects me to .../test03/ojs/index.php/test03/install, which doesn't seem to exist. Any ideas?

I'm not aware of anyone successfully running OJS 2.0 on IIS. OJS currently only supports Apache officially.

If you're interested in trying to get OJS to work with IIS you may want to start by looking up information on "IIS PATH_INFO" on your favourite search engine -- judging from your post that seems to be the first snag you've run into.

FYI, OJS 2.0.2-1 and later support IIS. See docs/README for specific platform support information.
