Forum rules
This forum is meant for general questions about the usability of OJS from an everyday user's perspective: journal managers, authors, and editors are welcome to post questions here, as are librarians and other support staff. We welcome general questions about the role of OJS and how the workflow works, as well as specific function- or user-related questions.

What to do if you have general, workflow or usability questions about OJS:

1. Read the documentation. We've written documentation to cover from OJS basics to system administration and code development, and we encourage you to read it.

2. take a look at the tutorials. We will continue to add tutorials covering OJS basics as time goes on.

3. Post a question. Questions are always welcome here, but if it's a technical question you should probably post to the OJS Technical Support subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

CrossRef XML Export and Search

Postby ajspadial » Tue Jun 03, 2014 12:24 am

Good morning,

We are trying to export some articles with the CrossRef XML plugin. We've got 1000+ articles in our journal (even more in the other we host) so it's starting to be difficult to find the article we need to export, even if we know its complete reference (title, id, issue, etc.)

Is there any plugin to add search capability to the crossref XML plugin?

Or, is there any plugin to add the export feature to the aside toolbar in the article page (http://revistas.inia.es/index.php/sjar/ ... /view/6301) so that we could use standard search to locate the file and then export it?

Best regards,
ajspadial

Hi,

There is not currently any search capability for the CrossRef export tool. You can export issues or articles, but you can't search based on any parameters. The current software doesn't support this, but you could certainly submit this as an enhancement request for future releases.

All best,
