3. Post a question. Questions are always welcome here, but if it's a technical question you should probably post to the OJS Technical Support subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Hi,

I registered with the name of an author who submitted the article to a theme editor by email. The file is on my desktop. It will not upload into the "review file"

This has never happened before. I can't understand this

How big is the file? What happens when you try to upload it?

Hi Alec,
The file is 4054KB. The author included some photographs.
I can select the file. When I hit the upload button, it appears to upload then the screen goes blank.
When the screen re-appears, the file is not uploaded and the select file window says , "no file selected."

Hi Mel,

If you haven't tried a file that large before -- though 4MB isn't particularly big -- it's possible that it exceeds your upload limits. You'll have to check the PHP and Apache settings suggested in the FAQ entry.

Hi Alec,
Your question about size, suggested a work-around to me
I saved the original file into two files: text- 71 KB; and pictures- 4012 KB.
The text uploaded successfully as the review file and the pictures uploaded successfully as the supplementary file.

Thank you.

After Easter I will ask computer services to check the settings. We out source computer services services and it is on their server.
