is it possible to insert in the bibliography list a number referring to position in the article (such as: 1 - Doe, J., etc etc) or it will cause problems in citation search?

If you're using the Citation Markup Assistant, then depending on which citation parsing service you're using, you may find that the automatic parsing is affected. If you're not using it (and you probably aren't), OJS will not be affected; I can't comment on whether external services like Google Scholar will be affected as their infrastructure is proprietary and opaque to us. I suspect you'll be OK.
