We are able to upload HTML files withouth any problem but are unable to upload the associated image (jpg) files.
We get the following messages.
"Warning: Unable to create '/var/www/html/ojs/images/articleimages/CSI/EC-2004-14-image001.jpg': No such file or directory in /var/www/html/ojs/admin/include/galleyupload.php on line 213
Warning: Unable to move '/tmp/phpnPdw8N' to '/var/www/html/ojs/images/articleimages/CSI/EC-2004-14-image001.jpg' in /var/www/html/ojs/admin/include/galleyupload.php on line 213"
There are a couple of things about this that seem odd to me.
One is that it references "*image001.jpg" even when the image I am trying to upload is "*image002.jpg".
The other is that I would expect these images to be in a subfolder of the directory where the articles are uploaded rather than where the OJS PHP files are stored.
Any suggestions you can give would be much appreciated.

If you entered "CSI/EC" as the journal initials in setup, that is likely the problem. The initials are prepended to uploaded files, but the "/" is interpreted as a directory separator.

Hello all.
We're trying to set up our journal and we can't seem to be able to upload a graphic for step 5.2 "Homepage Content".
When we do, we get this error message. Thanks for the help.
Warning: move_uploaded_file(D:\web\ojs.dlsu\jrsce\docs/images/custom/ojs_home_toc.gif): failed to open stream: Permission denied in D:\web\ojs.dlsu\jrsce\docs\admin\editor\step5.php on line 145

It seems to me you typed a drive folder address instead of a webserver address..
If you're using Windows you should place
http://localhost/nameoffolder/ as your site address...
