Forum rules
This forum is meant for general questions about the usability of OJS from an everyday user's perspective: journal managers, authors, and editors are welcome to post questions here, as are librarians and other support staff. We welcome general questions about the role of OJS and how the workflow works, as well as specific function- or user-related questions.

What to do if you have general, workflow or usability questions about OJS:

1. Read the documentation. We've written documentation to cover from OJS basics to system administration and code development, and we encourage you to read it.

2. take a look at the tutorials. We will continue to add tutorials covering OJS basics as time goes on.

3. Post a question. Questions are always welcome here, but if it's a technical question you should probably post to the OJS Technical Support subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

We need the section editors to receive copy of the email REVIEW_REQUEST_ONECLICK... is it possible as it happens in other email templates?

Hi Clara,

You need to enable one-click reviewer access in Journal Setup step 2.

Hi everyone!

I have the same question as Clara. When a section editor sends the Review_Request_Oneclick email, there is no possibility for him to receive a copy of the email sent nor include other adresses (from other editors, form example) as recipients because the "To", "CC" and "BCC" fields are not editable.

So it is not easy to get a proof that the request has been made (apart from checking the "history" interface).

What can we do? We are running version 2.3.7.0.

Thanks for your help!!

Hi Ana,

Those fields are disabled intentionally to prevent editors from receiving access keys, which can be used to behave as reviewers without those activities being logged as editor activities. If you want to permit those address fields to be edited, find the following line (may appear several times) in classes/submission/sectionEditor/SectionEditorAction.inc.php and remove it:
Code: Select all
$email->setAddressFieldsEnabled(false);

Alternately, to automatically add new recipients, find where $email->addRecipient(...) is called in the same functions and add additional calls to the same function with the new address.
