2.3 branch becoming stable

Postby Thijs » Thu May 20, 2010 4:21 am

Hi,

I read in the roadmap (http://pkp.sfu.ca/wiki/index.php/OCS_Roadmap) that 2.3.1 is planned to be stable. However, the download page still lists it as the development version. Will there be a stable release of the 2.3 branch soon?

thanks,
Thijs

Hi Thijs,

The 2.3.2 release has been pushed back for a few months, until August. We're planning on that one being a "stable" release.

Cheers,
James

I see that 2.3.3 is still listed as a "development" release. Please provide us with the latest estimate for a stable release for 2.3.x.

Thank you.

Hi Trudy,

We're just wrapping up final release details for OJS 2.3.3. Once that release is out, we'll be focusing more directly on OCS. But to be honest, at the moment we haven't really settled on solid time frame. We should have a better idea in the near future though. I'll try to remember to update this post in the next few weeks, but if you don't hear soon-ish, please feel free to remind.

Cheers,
James
