clitool in CVS?

Postby spatialguru » Tue Mar 03, 2009 12:58 pm

Hi, just grabbed OCS from CVS. I'm wondering if I grabbed it right, because I'm not having much fun ;)

The index.php page won't load for me - only a blank screen, no errors anywhere I can see. So I tried from command line, to run install.php - but it bails complaining:

Code: Select all
$ php tools/install.php
PHP Warning:  main(/var/www/ocs2/ocs2_cvs_2009-03-02/lib/pkp/classes/cliTool/CliTool.inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/ocs2/ocs2_cvs_2009-03-02/tools/install.php on line 18
PHP Fatal error:  main(): Failed opening required '/var/www/ocs2/ocs2_cvs_2009-03-02/lib/pkp/classes/cliTool/CliTool.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/ocs2/ocs2_cvs_2009-03-02/tools/install.php on line 18
Content-type: text/html
X-Powered-By: PHP/4.3.9

Indeed there is no classes/cliTool folder and I'm pretty unfamiliar with it - having not used it before.

Any tips for getting started from CVS? I'm pretty sure all permissions are right, having done at least 3-4 installs previously. Please tell me I simply forgot something :)

Best wishes,

Hi Tyler,

Check out the newly written (by James) wiki article at http://lib-pkp.lib.sfu.ca/wiki/index.php/Information_for_Developers. In particular it looks like you haven't checked out the PKP library and copied/symlinked it into your OJS /lib directory. You simply forgot something :)
