I am trying to create blocks of time in which presentations can be scheduled.
1) Form does not allow me to schedule blocks within the date range of the conference. Only year 2012 is available. But conference is in 2013.
2) Form will not prevent me from creating blocks outside the date range. (I could just tell people to be careful, I guess.)
I have attached elucidating screen print.
Have I missed a setting somewhere? I'm scratching my head.

Hi all,
I've just committed a patch to resolve this at
http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=7861. This is intended for release in OCS 2.4.0 but should apply against 2.3.x without changes.

Do you know, when the fixed version will be available? I'll have to present the system for evaluation in the next days and this might be a point that might lead to a refusal to use the system.

Hi pilone,
Certainly not within a few days. I'd suggest patching your installation with the patch at the link above.
