Hi there,
I have been working on quick (not proofed) translation (to Russian language) for the conference web-site under OCS. Everything was ok, until I come up to the point where text of Copyright Notice and text of Privacy Statement are not switched to translated version and stay in English Language. The translated titles for the mentioned pieces of text are placed nicely, but not the text. For testing purposes I tried to install and switch/toggle to Spanish Language - resulted in the same outcome - text stays in English Language all the time. Is it some bug or is it hardcoded? How can we overcome this?
By the way, I hope to correct mistakes of the translation (by employing users of the site) and to submit for your consideration later on.

Great to hear that you are working on a Russian translation of OCS! Are you willing to contribute your translation to the project? It would be a great addition, and your contribution would be appreciated by many community members.
Regarding your question -- both the copyright notice and the privacy statement are multilingual, but you don't edit them by editing the locale files; they are stored in the database, and Conference Managers can edit them from Website Management Setup Step 1. You can add different languages by selecting the Language chooser drop-down on that page, near the top of the page; filling out the information in Russian; and pressing Save at the bottom.
