Multi round peer review

Postby testman » Sun Sep 15, 2013 12:50 pm

Hello,

We are trying to use the multi round feature of OCS, as mentioned in the documentation multiple time (in Editorial Process for example), but we can not find a way to enable it or use the "Resubmit for review" decision in the director screen (only accept, decline, revision required are available...). This seems to be available and working in OJS, but we just can not find it in OCS...

We are using version 2.3.5, on a ubuntu 10.04 LTS server.

Could you please advise ?

Thanks in advance,

Xavier

Hi Xavier,

OCS only supports a single round of review, but if you select the submission mode that permits separate abstract submission and paper submission processes, each can be reviewed separately.

Will this be implemented in near future?
In our conference this is very common that one paper has several rounds of review.

Many thanks

Hi Hembo,

It's unlikely, unfortunately. We have made considerable improvements in workflow flexibility in the shared library that OCS uses along with OMP and OJS, but OCS will need a considerable amount of work in order to take advantage of these new developments. We'll publish our plans for this once we've made them.

Hello there

Any news about multi-roud peer review possibilities?
Can you propose any workarounds if you are not planning to implement it.
