What to do if you have general, workflow or usability questions about OCS:

1. Read the documentation. We've written documentation to cover from OCS basics to system administration and code development, and we encourage you to read it.

2. take a look at the tutorials. We will continue to add tutorials covering OCS basics as time goes on.

3. Post a question. Questions are always welcome here, but if it's a technical question you should probably post to the OCS Technical Support subforum; if you have a development question, try the OCS Development subforum.

enrolling new users

I am a conference manager and would like to enrol new users and assign them roles as authors. However, the conference manager is the only choice that I am given. (I was able to do this in early december, but not new.)

Have I missed a step?

Hi Lynne,

If this is a newly-created Conference, have you also created a Scheduled Conference?

Hi Alec, yes, I have, the conference is ANSER (http://conferences.uvic.ca/index.php/an ... ndex/about) here at UVic. I was able to enrol others at the beginning of December but for some reason the only role that I can see is conference manager.

Any help would be great. Our deadline is coming and I am trying to process a few where people submitted in other ways.

Hi Lynne,

As Conference Manager (the role you have), you ought to be able to enroll users as authors, reviewers, etc. When you go into Conference Management, what do you see? Can you post a screenshot?

Hi Lynne,

There are two areas to enroll users -- one for the conference, and one for the scheduled conference. You appear to be in the conference area; you need to go back to Journal Management and use the scheduled conference enrollment area.
