The Public Knowledge Project is seeking a conscientious PHP developer to join our team. The position involves a variety of tasks, from support and documentation to active design and development. This is a rare opportunity to work on a meaningful, successful and exciting project and gain experience in Open Source software development. You'll be joining an enthusiastic and independent team and you'll have the chance to contribute to several different applications.
You should know PHP and be able to provide code samples. Experience with PKP software (e.g. Open Journal Systems) is valuable but not necessary. You should also have experience with SQL (particularly MySQL and PostgreSQL), Apache, and Linux server administration.
We are open to a variety of work arrangements, including telecommuting. Preference is given to full-time availability. This is a fixed-term contract with a probationary period and good potential for ongoing full-time work. If you're interested, please contact me via PM on this forum with code samples and a CV.
