Just got through the install of OJS v2.4.2 and was trying to work through an initial "review". Was able to enroll myself as a Editor, and Author. Uploaded a document with no problems, then went to assign it as the Editor (hit the assign to : Me option, not All Editors) and got the following message:
DB Error: Unknown column 'ea.user_id' in 'where clause'
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jim,
See bug #8154, linked from the OJS 2.4.2 Recommended Patches page. There is a patch linked there that you can apply to fix the problem. (FYI, the "OJS Technical Support" forum is a more relevant place for this kind of inquiry.)
