Private Key and CSR

Postby Paulnorm » Tue Jun 28, 2011 8:29 am

I am setting up the OJS so that people login to the system using SSL but I have been told that I need to create a private key and certificate Signing Request via the OJS. Does anyone know if this can be done and if so how?

Hi Paulnorm,

That's a web server configuration issue; OJS will happily use either HTTP or HTTPS without special configuration. Find out what web server you're using (e.g. Apache, IIS, etc.) and google up some directions for installing certificates. Once that's all configured, there are only a couple of configuration options for OJS -- see config.inc.php in the [security] section -- but those only tweak its behavior with respect to things like logins; it should work regardless.
