Dalam rangka proses pengintegrasian kurikulum pendidikan komputer dengan dunia industri serta pembentukan kepengurusan APTIKOM Wilayah Provinsi Banten, Fakultas Teknologi Informasi Universitas Serang Raya (FTI-UNSERA) melaksanaan serangkaian Kegiatan Seminar Lokakarya dan Musyawarah Wilayah Asosiasi Perguruan Tinggi Komputer (APTIKOM) untuk Provinsi Banten pada bulan April 2013.
Tema kegiatan ini adalah “Managing Open Educational Resources Sebagai Solusi Pendidikan Pintar Serta Peningkatan Campus-Industry Partnership”. Kegiatan ini diharapkan akan memberikan paradigma baru mengenai konsep penyelenggaraan pendidikan komputer sesuai dengan kebutuhan dunia industri. Selain itu, melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan sudah terbentukan kepengurusan APTIKOM untuk Wilayah Provinsi Banten.
Kegiatan yang akan diselenggarakan di Kampus Terpadu Universitas Serang Raya pada tanggal 18 Mei 2013, merupakan inisiatif dari Fakultas Teknologi Informasi atas masukan dari Pengurus APTIKOM Pusat dan Wilayah Provinsi Jawa Barat, mengingat belum terbentuknya kepengurusan wilayah di Banten.
