Last week saw the first meeting of the PKP European Network (PKPEN), with representatives from SPARC Europe, the Freie Universität Berlin (Germany), Lund University Libraries (Sweden), University Library of Tromsø (Norway), the National Documentation Center (Greece), Utrecht University Library (Netherlands), the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (Spain), and PKP (Canada/USA).

A new page has been created on the PKP wiki to follow the development of this network, and a formal meeting will be held at the PKP Conference in Berlin in September 2011.

The Network will be setting up communication channels for both technical and editorial issues, bringing together the experience and expertise of a broad range of PKP software users across Europe. If you are interested in participating, please let us know, and we will include you in future updates.
