The deadline for submission of proposals to the PKP Scholarly Publishing 2013 conference, taking place August 19-21 in Mexico City, Mexico, has been extended to May 6 . Please consider submitting a presentation proposal, attending the event, and sharing this message with any colleagues who you think might be interested in participating.

Early Adopters of the Open Monograph Press – An introduction

The newest Public Knowledge Project (PKP) software module, the Open Monograph Press (OMP) 1.0 (Beta), was released on September 17th, 2012. As part of OMP’s release strategy, PKP is working closely with several early adopters who are using OMP in a production environment and who will provide feedback on their experiences with the software. The Early Adopter Initiative is a very important part of ensuring the successful release and adoption of the OMP software.

Public Knowledge Project announces the 1.0 (Beta) release of Open Monograph Press

The Public Knowledge Project (PKP) is very pleased to announce the 1.0 (Beta) release of Open Monograph Press (OMP). OMP is an open source software platform for managing the editorial workflow required to see monographs, edited volumes, and scholarly editions through internal and external review, editing, cataloguing, production, and publication. OMP will operate, as well, as a press website with catalog, distribution, and sales capacities.
