Description Ivailo Stoyanov 2007-11-07 06:11:01 PST
Layout Editor > Submissions: "Active" list item doesn't show number of active items as elsewhere in the interface (e.g. in the sidebar it appears correctly as "Active (n)"; "n" is the number of currently active items for the LE).

Further details: OJS version: 2.2-CVS (as of 07-11-2007)
                 PHP version: 5.2.0-8
                 MySQL version: 5.0.32
Comment 1 Ivailo Stoyanov 2007-11-07 07:22:45 PST
Meanwhile I compared the UIs for all roles and have found that the UI for Layout Editor is rather aberrant: the functionally similar roles (e.g. Copyeditor, Proofreader, Reviewer) have the following layout:

================================================================================
CURRENT_ITEM_TITLE
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
<a>ITEM_1</a>     <a>ITEM_2</a>     <a>ITEM_3</a>
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUBMISSION DETAILS (ID, MM-DD, Assign, Sec, Authors, Title, Status)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
FURTHER CONTENTS (e.g. NOTES, ROLE-SPECIFIC-ACTIONS, etc.)

JOURNAL PAGE FOOTER
================================================================================

Consequently, it seems that the whole page (template?) should be replaced rather than just adding the number of items as initially suggested.

Agreed that the interface should be changed to be more consistent, particularly per commment #1; however, I'm deferring this from 2.2.
