OCS only supports the purchasing of one of any given extra registration option. Conference Managers should be able to optionally define a number range for any given registration option.

For example, if the registration option is a banquet ticket, the CM should be able to set how many tickets can be purchased with any given registration (say 0-5); when a registrant registers, he should then be able to choose from 0-5 tickets from a drop-down menu.

Additionally, the CM should be able to set an optional cap on the number of any given options sold -- once the cap is hit, the option would then be disabled (and displayed as "sold out").

Alec asked that I expand on this request

Basically it would be nice to have a text or dropdown box to allow quantities of registration options to be selected and calculated for the resigtration form or pass thorough to PayPal.

We have several events where members would like to bring guests or order multiple items. Examples are events and items such as receptions, lunches, proceeedings copies etc. We charge for the extras ticket to these events. Sometimes members bring more than one guest. Therefore it would be useful to have the quantity option.

Obviously this would also require a change in the MySQL database from a yes/no field to numher field and a recalculation using the number rather than a check off to determine the amount. Perhaps an insertion in the database based on the number of extras to determine the option total to carry over to the Paypal.

Also James recommendation on being able to set a registration limit would also be useful. This is not critical to us right now but also should be considered.

Has there been any progress made on this? We are about to open our registration.

I understand that a patch may not do it as the MySQL tables may also need changing.

Know you are busy with 2.3

thanks
